Enter your starting savings, monthly deposit, saving period, and expected annual interest rate to estimate your future savings balance.

How Does the Savings Calculator Work?

The calculator starts with your current savings and adds your regular monthly deposits throughout the selected saving period.

If you enter an annual interest rate, the calculator also estimates the interest earned on your savings. Interest is calculated monthly, and monthly deposits are assumed to be made at the end of each month.

Savings Calculator Example

Suppose you already have $5,000 saved and add $200 per month for 5 years.

Without interest, you would add $12,000 through monthly deposits, giving you total savings of $17,000.

If your savings also earn interest, the estimated final balance will be higher because your money grows over time.

Understanding the Results

Result Meaning
Final Savings Your estimated savings balance at the end of the selected period.
Starting Savings The amount you already have saved today.
Total Monthly Deposits The total amount added through monthly deposits.
Total Amount Saved Your starting savings plus all monthly deposits, before interest.
Interest Earned The estimated amount added through interest.
Number of Months The total number of months in your saving period.

Why Regular Saving Matters

Regular monthly deposits can make a significant difference over time. Even relatively small amounts can accumulate into a substantial total when they are saved consistently for several years.

Interest can further increase your final balance because both your existing savings and previous interest may continue to grow.
